Richard Gibbs is a reformed rock musician and a former member of Oingo Boingo. He has toured and recorded with a wide range of artists, from Chaka Khan and Robert Palmer to Tom Waits and Korn. He has composed music for over 70 films and television series, including Say Anything, Dr. Dolittle, 10 Things I Hate About You, Queen of the Damned, Battlestar Galactica, and The Simpsons. He has served as music director for Tracey Ullman and The Muppets, and has produced albums for Korn, Richard Page, and Eisley.
His unique ocean-view studio in Malibu, Woodshed Recording, has served as a creative hub for U2, Coldplay, Chance the Rapper, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, and many others.
Richard is also the founder of Armory of Harmony, a nonprofit organization that transforms metal from firearms collected through buyback programs across the country into musical instruments for high school students worldwide.
