Richard Gibbs
Richard Gibbs is a reformed rock musician and one time member of Oingo Boingo. He has toured and recorded with a wide array of artists, from Chaka Khan and Robert Palmer to Tom Waits and Korn. He has composed the scores for over 70 feature films and TV series, including Say Anything, Dr. Dolittle, 10 Things I Hate About You, Queen of the Damned, Battlestar Galactica and the Simpsons. He has served as musical director for Tracey Ullman and the Muppets, and produced records for Korn, Richard Page, and Eisley.
His completely unique ocean view studio in Malibu, Woodshed Recording, has provided a creative home for U2, Coldplay, Chance the Rapper, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga and many dozens more.
Richard is also the founder of Armory of Harmony, a nonprofit that upcycles gun metal from buyback programs around the country into musical instruments for use by high school students everywhere.
