Frankfurt, Germany – May 24th, 2025 will forever be etched in the annals of music history! The electrifying spectacle known as The Grand Jam not only rocked the Deutsche Bank Park, but also smashed a world record, officially becoming the “World’s Largest Live Band” with an astonishing 1,231 musicians performing in perfect harmony.
In a breathtaking display of collective passion and musical prowess, hundreds of vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, and an incredible array of brass, sax, string, and other instrumentalists converged on the hallowed grounds of the stadium. This wasn’t just a concert; it was a movement, a testament to the unifying power of music that transcended age, background, and musical experience.
The air was thick with anticipation as the thousands of dedicated “Jammers” took their positions on the specially constructed stage, covering the entire football pitch. For months, these musicians, both amateur and professional, had diligently practiced with the aid of over 250 instructional videos and 600 play-along tracks provided by The Grand Jam organizers. Their commitment was palpable, and the energy radiating from the stage was nothing short of electrifying.
„THE GRAND JAM is a very special project with special requirements and challenges. On previous events we had to work with less microphones than we had vocals in the band. Something we wanted to change and with our partner Austrian Audio and 600 new microphones we were able to solve the problem and make all our singers very happy. We experienced Austrian Audio as a very reliable partner with smooth logistics and the right products for our needs”, so Patrik Meyer.

With nearly 20,000 spectators roaring in support, the German Record Institute (RID) officially certified the new world record. The sheer scale was mind-boggling: over 600 singers, more than 150 drummers, around 200 guitars, 80 bassists, and countless other instruments combined to create a sonic force unlike anything witnessed before.
The setlist was a dynamic mix of stadium anthems and radio hits, with the crowd singing along to every word. Beyond the sheer number of musicians, The Grand Jam delivered a truly immersive experience, complete with dazzling pyrotechnics, mesmerizing light shows, and acrobatic performances that added another layer of spectacle to the already historic event.
Patrik Meyer, initiator of The Grand Jam, expressed his elation, highlighting the countless hours of practice and dedication from the record-breaking musicians. “The world record is the reward and recognition for their commitment and enthusiasm for music,” he stated, beaming with pride. Olaf Kuchenbecker, the record judge from the German Record Institute, echoed the sentiment, remarking on the truly unique and emotional power emanating from the collective.

This monumental achievement in Frankfurt marks another incredible chapter for The Grand Jam, which continues to grow and inspire. If you missed this historic moment, fear not! The Grand Jam will be bringing its unique brand of musical magic to other German stadiums in 2025 and 2026, with upcoming dates in Dresden (July 5, 2025) and Düsseldorf (December 23, 2025), and a return to Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt in July 2026.
The Grand Jam in Frankfurt was more than just a concert; it was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when thousands come together with a shared passion. It was a day where dreams came alive, and music truly became the language that everyone understood. Congratulations to all 1,231 world record holders – you’ve made history!
