Adrian Hall
Adrian is a mixer, engineer and producer with a wealth of experience working on all kinds of projects with artists at all levels of the industry, from worldwide household names to up-and-coming unsigned bands. Equally at home tracking a live band with a studio full of musicians or being left to mix tracks on his own, Adrian is both a technically adept and creative engineer.
As a house engineer at Metropolis Studios from 1997 until 2004, Adrian has been a valuable member of the production team on many high-profile releases and coped with many demanding sessions. In addition, he has worked on a number of independent releases, producing the band involved, as well as handling tracking and mixing duties. Since going freelance in 2004, Adrian has been a much in-demand mixer, engineer/producer. Comfortable working in a traditional large-console analog studio or mixing from his garden office studio equipped with ProTools HDX and a large selection of outboard gear, he has worked on a wide range of genres throughout his career, meaning he can turn his hand to a broad spectrum of projects.
Adrian has worked with artists ranging from the pop stylings of The Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Robbie Williams, Shakira and Robyn to bands like Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Anna Calvi, Big Deal, Young Knives, and Amber Run. Most recently, projects that Adrian has been involved with include mixing Nakhane’s album “You Will Not Die” for Sony BMG and the forthcoming debut album from Cassia, for Distiller Records.
Adrian has mixed major live releases in both 5.1 and stereo for Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, Shakira and Youssou N’Dour. He also mixed the incredible Philadelphia leg of the Live8 concert, which had a viewership of over one million people. The DVD features performances from legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Destiny’s Child, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, Keith Urban, Dave Matthews Band and more.
