Cid Rim
CID RIM, also known as Clemens Bacher, is an acclaimed drummer and producer based between London and Vienna.
Bacher grew up in Austria alongside Dorian Concept and friends who led the city’s burgeoning art & music scene – fusing DIY jazz and electronics.
With little regard for classification, their party was the stuff of legend. Set in an old sauna below a theme park – The Loud Minority was a vibrant riot of all things new. Clemens co-founded Affine Rec with his friends, enabling their scene to make themselves heard worldwide. After years of incubating in Vienna, his ambition took him to writing rooms in LA, Paris & NY.
A participant in Damon Albarn’s ‘African Express’, he traveled to South Africa with Brian Eno & Idris Elba to collaborate with local musicians. Clemens has written and released music with Petite Noir, Okmalumkoolkat, Denai Moore and Theophilus London, official remixes for Sky Ferreira, 1975 and Chvrches.
Clemens temporarily relocated to London following the buzz around his debut album Material, and started working on Songs of Vienna between pop writing sessions. On this post-postmodern masterpiece, CID RIM takes everything he’s into and leaps forward, creating the new psychedelic pop our time deserves. Songs of Vienna.
