Engel Mayr is widely recognized for his roles as a guitarist, producer, and songwriter in various music projects such as PUNK ROCK SINGALONG, RUSSKAJA, DORRETTA CARTER, PERCIVAL DUKE, HALLUCINATION COMPANY, BASTARD PEELS, DUO MAYR/TIEFENBACHER and also has become Austria’s BluesRock Guitar Ambassador with his own Power Trio in the past years. His guitar playing can be heard every week in the Country’s biggest Late Night Show “WILLKOMMEN ÖSTERREICH” with Dirk Stermann & Christoph Grissemann where Engel Mayr serves as the guitarist of the house band. Additionally, he is esteemed for his contributions to Funk and Soul music alongside HUBERT TUBBS and KRIS JEFFERSON. Engaging in international tours with diverse bands and artists, Mayr has also showcased his musical talents in numerous theatrical productions including “West Side Story”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Sweet Charity”, “Cabaret”, “Evita”, “Little Shop of Horror”, “Camp Rock” and many more. Born in 1984, Mayr embarked on his musical journey at the age of 8 and has remained dedicated to the guitar ever since. Trained in Jazz Guitar by notable instructors like Edi Köhldorfer, Marcus Ratka, and Peter Legat, Mayr is a sought-after musician both within and beyond the country’s borders, displaying a profound passion for music that transcends day and night.
Engel Mayr, a renowned Producer, Recording, and Mixing Engineer runs his own STUDIO MÄUSEPALAST in the Vienna, Austria area. Over the course of his career he has partnered with a wide range of musicians across various music genres like Pop, Metal, Rock, Blues, Punk and Jazz among others! Furthermore, as a highly in-demand songwriter himself he is working with artists from the very beginning of a song idea up until a finished song production.
