I have tried the Austrian Audio OC818 condenser microphone and I was immediately pleased by its sound, this microphone has just the right balance between warmth & smoothness, I have noticed a big difference in the tops where everything is smoother with no sharp edges, there’s no added low end but rather a natural warmth that sounds pleasing, my first impression after listening to the recording was that the vocals don’t need much processing to achieve the desired radio ready vocals that everyone is trying to get.
