Our proprietary OCC7 capsule gives the OC7 a wide frequency response and high SPL resistance, so you can record everything from acoustic guitar to snare drums with clarity and nuance.

The microphone’s original swivel joint design offers 220º rotation for maximum flexibility and accuracy in even the tightest spaces. Like any good instrument microphone, the OC7 can also take a direct hit from a drumstick and not miss a beat thanks to its ultra-durable metal enclosure. At the heart of the Austrian Audio OC7 microphone beats the newly-developed OCC7 small-diaphragm condenser capsule. Inspired by the legendary CK1, the OCC7 delivers all the benefits of that classic design updated to meet the demands of today. Shaped by the past; built for the future.

The OCC7 capsule and transformerless output gives the OC7 a remarkably linear frequency response, handling extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL) of up to 154 dB (160 dB with pad), without distorting.
